SIWW and IDA renew strategic partnership until 2024

SIWW is delighted to announce the renewal of its Strategic Partner agreement with the International Desalination Association (IDA) until SIWW 2024. Under this agreement, signed on 21 October 2019 at the IDA World Congress in Dubai, both parties will spotlight innovations in the advanced water treatment industry, and facilitate knowledge sharing and networking. "IDA is thrilled to be a strategic partner of SIWW - it's always a wonderful event and we encourage everyone to attend. [For SIWW 2020] we will have an IDA Pavilion for our members if they want to showcase in the exhibition area, and a dynamic Business Forum [to bring together] leaders from our industry," said Ms Shannon McCarthy, Secretary General, IDA. |

Double Wins for Tuas Nexus PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, has clinched dual accolades for Tuas Nexus in the space of three weeks! Tuas Nexus is the world's first fully energy self-sufficient greenfield facility that will integrate used water treatment and waste management in a single facility.
Mr Ng Joo Hee, Chief Executive of PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency (second from left), received the International Desalination Association's inaugural "Most Innovative Water-Energy Nexus Project" Award for Tuas Nexus from H.E Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority. The inaugural IDA Industry and Sustainability Awards, presented at the IDA World Congress in Dubai on 23 October 2019, honour outstanding projects that meet the challenges of increasing demand for drinking water, industrial water use and water reuse. Tuas Nexus won the Most Innovative Water-Energy Nexus Project Award for being a "bold innovation in the action for climate change and sustainability".
